Match 3 mini-games feature special elements on the playing field:
-
Golden Tiles
Conceal cells. A golden tile disappears when a combination is formed in the cell. It can be strengthened, and the reinforcement goes away once a combination is formed a second time.
- Ice
Blocks the cell. To remove ice, you need to make a combination next to it. Also, ice disappears if lightning or a bomb is activated in its vicinity. - Stone
Blocks the cell. To remove a stone, you need to make a combination next to it twice. The stone can be strengthened. Each reinforcement requires an extra combination formed or lightning/bomb activated in its vicinity. - Chain
Blocks the tile underneath it. To break the chain, you need to make a combination with the blocked tile. The chain can be strengthened, in which case, you will need to make a combination twice to break it. The supercrystals, bombs, and lightning break the chain or remove the reinforcement. - Glass
The tiles located under glass cannot be moved. You can form combinations with them, as well as destroy them with lightning, bombs, or supercrystals. That doesn't remove the glass, however. The tile under the glass can move if the cell underneath it becomes free. - Metal Tile
Blocks the cell. It can only be removed with lightning or a bomb. -
Pearl
A special tile that moves like regular tiles but cannot form combinations. It can only be removed with lightning or a bomb.
- Portal
A pair of tiles, one of which is the entrance and the other is the exit. When the exit cell becomes empty, the tile from the connected entrance cell falls into it. - Ice ball
A special tile that moves like a regular one but doesn't match. Match combinations near it to break it. - Fog
Covers a cell, destroying its contents. To dispel the fog, make matches next to it.
If you do not dispel the fog, then the fog will cover one more cell after a few seconds (in time-based games) or after a move (in turn-based games).
