When an application crashes on an iOS device, a crash report is created and stored on the device. When you synchronize your device with iTunes, crash reports are copied to your computer.
That's how to acquire 'crash reports':
- Synchronize your iPad with a computer using iTunes after the crash has happened.
- Locate the directory on your computer where crash reports are stored.
Depending on the platform, the directory is:
- MacOS X and higher versions: ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ in the 'Go' menu. You may have to hold down the 'Option' key when using the 'Go' menu in the 'Finder' to open the 'Library' folder.
- Windows 10 and higher Windows versions: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\AppleComputer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\DEVICE_NAME>. <USERNAME> is the user's login name for the computer. <DEVICE_NAME> is the name of your iOS device, for example, 'John's iPad'.
- Locate the crash report of the game you are concerned about. The crash report file name begins with the application name and contains date/time information. Note that the folder 'Application Data' is hidden by default, so if you do not have hidden files visible, please, go to: C:\Users\[username]\. Click 'View' in the menu above > 'Options' > Select 'View' tab.
- Then in the list, you should find 'Show Hidden files and folders'. Select this option and click 'OK'. The folder should now be visible.
- Send us all files whose names start with the application name.
